According to The Motorcycle Industry Council, Indiana is among the top ten states in America with the highest motorcycle rider participation per capita in the United States. The Indiana Motorcycle Expo operates in conjunction with the largest indoor event in Indiana, the Ford 55th Annual Indianapolis Boat, Sport & Travel Show. The Boat, Sport & Travel Show is ranked third largest public event in the state, only behind the Indianapolis 500 and the Indiana State Fair.

The Indiana State Fairgrounds is centrally located, making it easy to get to from all over the state. The facility also has thousands of convenient parking spaces. All of the major consumer and popular shows are held at the Fairgrounds.
